I have a beautiful story that goes along with
this photo, a story my nine year old daughter
wrote. It is perfect for this photo.
I will have to ask her if I may use it, she is at
a sleep over birthday party and I am sure she
having a blast - oh what fun it is to be eleven-!

a treat, an island

all sounds quickly fade.

Leaving only a gull and rhythmic of slapping of the wavelets

left by the lobstermen

whispering on the dock of the bay.

AMANDA soon

jAzZy NiGhT

I feel a little Jazziness coming on
this morning, listening to Amanda Carr
my new favorite CD - all the thanks to
Peter, my friend in art, jazz and in all
things inspiring.

Thanks to Amanda as well-!

Here is a little sketch I did in my art
class a few years ago. It was for an idea
for a CD cover ( EVA CASSIDY ) was in
mind at the time. I did not know Amanda
back then. If I had known her - well, it
would have been a glittering inspiration
for a CD cover.

Anyways this is what I have...

Learning to sail

This is a photo I took a few summers ago
here in my little Downeast Village.
I played around with it in photoshop,
only to forget about it.

Well, I have rediscovered this photo
and oh, what a delight to see...

I am having one of those - you know
raining mondays only it is friday-!

This inspires me in a way to set sail.

I need not worry about the storm
I am learning to sail...

SHED YOUR LIGHT

Life in Maine... a cottage is as good as it gets-?

The way life should be. The old welcome signs on the highway read,
MAINE: THE WAY LIFE SHOULD BE. That about sums it up.
A painter, finds never-ending inspiration here, I found this old cottage
a few years back on our yearly trip to EAST GRAND LAKE, cruising north
along a two-lane highway through scarlet maple, goldenrod, and every
brilliant shade in between escorts you to the end of the road where you
find a peaceful paradise.

Down the pretty road

The road from my house with a view
right down the street
this is an everyday drive taking my girls to school.
& that is when I say - Yes, this is why I live here,
this is why I stay.

Fallen

the
radiant warmth
of RED

Aw - the fall has fallen.
